Getting up early and watching cartoons eating cereal in your underwear

Transformers started as a Saturday morning cartoon and then went to weekdays.

8 of those I watched as well, there was also D&D, poor eric, he had a magic shield but no weapon which I thought was odd, just all defense
and yes he-man as well, the days of good cartoons

I enjoyed the D&D cartoons as well. I own a box collection of all the episodes

I have ISO of D&D on my computer, not sure if it's all episodes
there probably were not as many as we thought, they just switched them
around and as kids you likely did not notice and go "hey I already seen that one"

per gemini there were only 27 episodes in 3 years, this was a time mom's thought D&D was an evil
game and put pressure on the network to remove it
TSR also was expanding too quick and straining themselves fiancially
it also notes they did not have a 4th season as it was cancelled and no finale to wrap it up

What were some of your all time favorite cartoons ?

Well, nothing beats the original B&W Popeyes from the 1930's in terms of sheer animation quality, humor and cleverness. But by the 1940s, they were drawing fewer frames per second to speed the process up while greatly lowering costs. That left cartoons of the 40s and 50s still very good but not quite on the same level.

Still, there were great cartoons to follow. Among the best, I would include:

• Warner Brothers cartoons of the 40s and 50s.
• Early Tom and Jerry
• Johnny Quest
• The Fantastic Four
• Early Flinstones (before Bam Bam & Pebbles)
• The Jetsons
• Tex Avery & Droopy

Many other good Cartoons, but the group above were the clear standouts.

If you like cartoons check out Genndy Tartakovsky's Primal on Adult Swim. Amazing. Been around since 2019 I just discovered it. You can binge watch the first two seasons and season 3 is coming in a couple weeks. Serious, it's great. Very little dialog as he's a caveman. So far he has said one word, Mira.

Primal is set in an anachronistic vision of prehistory, portraying extinct dinosaurs, Ice Age mammals, early hominids, and post-metallurgy Homo sapiens all coexisting in a single time period, incorporating many elements of science fiction, fantasy, horror, action, and adventure. The first two seasons revolve around the journey of Spear a Neanderthal, and Fang, a uniquely intelligent female Tyrannosaurus rex, both of whom lose their families tragically in the opening episode. They join forces to survive their unforgiving environment together, eventually discovering developed civilizations that they end up in conflict with. The series has no dialogue throughout its first season, before incorporating minimal dialogue in the second season with the introduction of a third character, Mira

Does anyone remember Liquid television on MTV in the 90's? I was going to college getting high and watching these crazy cartoons. Aeon Flux and Beavis and Butthead.
