Because he is hated and insulted by everyone, while he maintains his morals and integrity, by standing up for the oppressed, and opposing those engage in evil, and is entirely faithful to his wife to be.... even when he is cruelly wronged by everyone.

Even when he has every reason to hate and be bitter, he still holds true to his moral foundations to the very end.
