These "checkpoints" are just ordinary Americans trying to actually do something, even if their actions are pretty absurd. I mean, if ICE pulls up, are they somehow going to stop them from proceeding? No, they only want to impede their progress, make it more difficult, and yes, they are putting themselves at risk in doing so.

But when people get fed up, they often do something, even if it is not necessarily the right thing.

I would be satisfied with an adult showing up on scene and effectively telling them to get out of the damn road.
