The first rule of gun safety my grandfather taught my mother and Aunt is ”touch those guns and you won’t be able to sit down for a week”.

We didn't even need that. We didn't need threatening. We were told not to touch the guns unless told we could.
And sometimes we could..twice a year or maybe thrice.

When I was growing up, ALL kids had some kind of weapon thier fathers or Uncles gave them!!!
Bow and arrow set, lawn darts, pocket knives, BB guns, Dart guns, and some kids even got their own REAL guns, but weren't allowed to play with them.........only use them when momma or papa was with them at the firing range.

Yeah the news said a ring doorbell, there was no doorbells in that apt. building. I have never heard a trigger sound so bad.
