Having seen the military videos of unidentified aircraft that defy the laws of physics, which by the way, the government now admits are real, I don't see any reason why some species might be able to come up with spacecraft that could violate the speed of light limit. So, if we don't kill ourselves first, I see no reason why we can't, in the future, come up with a craft that could take humans to planets beyond our solar system, faster than the speed of light.

That asteroid is made of iron ... the fifth most abundant element in the known universe ... we have plenty here on Earth ... I can't find any citation that there's any gold or platinum there ... I'm sure there's trace amounts but no water to consolidate these metals into ore bodies ...

Next problem is accelerating the material to match Earth's velocity ... hauling a Saturn V's worth of fuel out to the Asteroid Belt ... and that just gets our material into LEO ... how do we bring it down to the surface without burning it all up? ...

The largest known piece of the Barringer Meteor is on display at the crater just off the I-40 in Arizona ... we can touch it ... keeps the metal skinny and smooth ... almost pure iron ...
