Unsurprisingly, the Venn diagram that depicts idiots who believe the Republicans and idiots who believe religious leaders is a circle. To believe in either the party or in their notion of Jehovah, you need to be an idiot.
So let’s all enjoy a good long belly laugh at the idiotic notion of the infallibility of church leaders, priests, and various writers of holy stuff. How could these guys get so many things so obviously wrong? Other writers of religious texts manage to avoid such obvious, proveable bullshit: the Chinese and Indian philosophers didn’t make such idiotic claims as we see in the Testaments, and Muhammad goes straight to “kill everyone who gets in our way”. But the Bible people??
Genesis is an entire book of scientific and historical nonsense, including two different accounts of its fake creation and the absurd story of the flood.
The rest of the Torah never happened: the Israelites were never taken into captivity in Egypt, and therefore their escape across the Sinai and their receipt of Torah laws from Jehovah there, the entire underpinning of Jewish law and the evangelical hatred of gays, was total fantasy.
The biblical story of ancient Israel and Judea is nonsense: Kings, Chronicles and Jeremiah retell different stories in different ways by making stuff up.
Israel couldn’t have offended any God by violating Torah law because they didn’t even have the Torah until after the Israelites, waiting for the rescue promised by Jehovah’s priests, were trampled by invaders. In fact the Israelites were not dedicated to Jehovah because they were polytheistic at that time.
The idea that the Bible is inerrant word of God was disproved by the gospels.
The Pope said that the Virgin Mary was conceived without sin and flew up into heaven, all of which was nonsense, but he insisted that anyone who disagreed would be thrown out of the church.
The nonsense about Jesus being conceived without sin was disproved by John who called him the son of Joseph.
The Gospels are loaded with errors about the Roman era in Judea to include Jesus’ lineage, crucifixion and resurrection.
The foolishness about Jesus living without sin was disproved by the gospels.
The nonsense about Jesus heroically dying for our sins was disproved by the gospels which made clear that Jesus didn’t want to die: he hid, ran or lied when cornered.
The notion that faith in Jesus, a very minor Jewish revolutionary, is the key to eternal life, was made up by a man who never met Jesus. Men who never met Jesus also decided he was divine.
The story of Jesus flying into heaven was so idiotic that even Saint Peter said in the New Testament that it never happened.
Pope Gregory got two passages in Luke mixed up, and told the world Mary Magdalene was a prostitute; she wasn’t.
Saint Augustine used a bad translation of the Bible to give Christians the doctrine of original sin by mistake. Original sin, the backbone of Christian belief, the tool priests have used to terrorize their flocks and keep them in line for centuries, is not just an absurd cruel fantasy, but a massive error.
Centuries of Christian philosophers failed to prove that there is one God. Thomas Aquinas gave us five arguments “proving” God’s existence, all laughable fallacies.
The church spent decades terrorizing anyone who questioned their theory of the holy trinity, which is made up nonsense.
The King James editions had a “thou shalt commit adultery” Bible.
The church was ready to torture Galileo to make him say that the solar system wasn’t the solar system.
The absurd notion of salvation through God’s grace and faith, the even sillier notions of heaven and hell, were disproved by the popes.
Which is more pathetic: pretending to believe in Trump, or pretending to believe in the sadistic psychopathic deity of the Testaments and the nonsense spewed by his followers?
