I’m currently up about 50% on the coin. Tempting to sell now and “wait for the correction” but I told myself I would be holding for 5 years.

I was into this coin on average for about $4000. But I bought more of it in April when it was at a low so my average price per coin is about 3000.

Ethereum has outperformed bitcoin and many other coins this year especially in the past month,

The whole waiting for a crash or waiting for a correction is quite controversial. Folks who do that risk missing big gain days. Also No one can predict a crash or how bad it will be.

Future looks bright for the crypto coins as we have a pro crypto POTUS.

Ethereum may be something to look at as it is in terms of market cap the number two coin on the market behind bitcoin

I opened a Coinbase account a few years ago and bought some Ethereum at around 200 per coin. I quickly sold when it went to 400 in about a month. Clever eh?

Nothing wrong with that a profit is a profit. No one can predict the future.

sounds good, I have the fund YETH which is pegged to eth, it's been going up in price and AUM and has a decent weekly payout

I had a stop loss at 4100 on ETH but I turned that off. Gonna have to stick with the five year plan. I understand that’s a pretty good idea when it comes to investing have a plan and actually stick with it through the ups and downs.

I’m not familiar with how that type of thing works, but it looks interesting. Personally for me I buy and sell. No covered calls or options

OK, I went over a quick read through on covered calls… correct me if I’m wrong The potential benefit is weekly income, less risk, But the potential downside is missing out on big gains in a bull market, what about the tax implications as short term gains are taxed a higher rate compared to long-term gains( selling after holding 1 year plus)

I suppose it all depends what you’re looking for right whether it’s short-term income or a long-term investment with a potential 2x, 5x or 10x plus your potential investment

Another question about a covered call ETF for you. What do you talk about weekly income. What exactly are you getting out of this. Is it 10% of your original investment per week and profit or one percent of your original week profit.

Let’s just say you invest $1000 in a covered call ETF. What type of weekly income do you expect to gain on the equity…. Let’s imagine a few scenarios like if the equity is doing OK if it’s doing very good or it’s doing phenomenal and give me some numbers as I’m interested in this and have no idea how it works…. and also what is happening to your original investment as time goes on. Because I looked at the Ethereum covered call ETF and it’s actually down significantly since inception.

Cellblock2429 I hope you could help with my $1000 example question. Again we’re talking about covered call ETF.s

well it pays out weekly and depends on how much they make on covered calls.
on average it has about 1.35 per share a month which is a crazy high 45% yield.

sure it's risky, what eth does it does
I'll post a link, many ETF that have high payout but NAV erosion, they can't grow as they don't invest your money exactly, they use your money to buy more ETH, on and on
the larger the pool the more they can invest which should keep the yield good

I would not recommend putting your 401K or life savings into this at all but for some passive income, maybe invest some money laying around doing nothing

OK, thank you. So correct me if I’m wrong here right now the Ethereum covered call is trading in about $27 a share… are you saying with YETH your dividend is $1.35 per share each month? How is that a 45% yield?

Again, I have no idea how these things work.

Perhaps I can ask in simple terms. So right now YETH Is trading for about $27 per share. How much is the dividend each week per share?

Am with you 100% and with BTC and XRP .

But, as I have said before, I moved piecemeal into Precious Metals a few years ago because I did /do not know what steps Governments will take to check the flow of current untraceable transactions .
That is , if I was Government I would want to be able to fully control all revenue flows .

And if there is a financial system Re-Set in the not too distant future ( this/next year ?) ,that would be the time for the establishment to take as much control of Blockchain as is possible .

Are you aware that all US Gold Reserves ( actual and / or Fake) are asset valued at arounf $45 an Oz versus current price of Ca. $3400.
Think of possible implications of a revaluation scenario !!

The Crypto potential for astronomic gains is higher than PMs , imho , but the long term risk factor of Gold and Silver is close to zero .
And there are separate arguments and scenarios for the prices of these metals to jump by extraordinary amounts--- Gold to 20 000 and Silver in excess of 500 versus current 38-9 .

Regardless , good fortune all round .

I gave you the link, all the info is there, it can adjust each week, it's not static set in stone
per them they have a 45% yield by their own calculations

couple months ago they went from paying out per month to weekly to capitalize on the ebb and flow of ETH and take advantage.

the payout actually went down [for now?] from around 1.51 to about 1.28, not bad perhaps though as a 74% yield is just not very sustainable, it's managed by those with masters degrees in business, I am hopeful they know what they are doing for the long term health of the fund

theoretically if you bough 100K worth it would pay out 45K per year

this yield of course can change but any ETF that pays at best a buck per share is on the higher end per month

I have another fund that pays around 1.40 per share per month but it's top heavy in tech stocks, the magnificent 7 and other big tech companies, it has a solid return
