Musk undercuts Trumpās Stargate AI investment announcement
Elon Musk claimed overnight Tuesday that tech giants OpenAI, Oracle and Softbank donāt have enough money to fulfill their high-profile pledge to invest $500 billion in U.S. artificial intelligence infrastructure.
The Tesla and SpaceX CEO made the comment just hours after President Donald Trump unveiled the massive project at the White House on his first full day in office.
āThey donāt actually have the money,ā Musk wrote in response to an OpenAI post on his social platform X about the new venture, dubbed the Stargate project.
āSoftBank has well under $10B secured. I have that on good authority,ā Musk added in a subsequent post.
Muskās comments undermined Trumpās announcement Tuesday afternoon that Stargate āwill invest $500 billion at leastā and create āover 100,000 American jobs almost immediately.ā
What gives. Co-prez Elon trying to make Dotard look bad? How long before Musk finds himself being investigated over his immigration status?
