One thing that people forget about the income tax is that it is used by the left and the right to orchestrate society by giving tax breaks for what the government believes is positive behaviors such as hiring non white make workers, getting health insurance, environmental stuff, and just about every left wing thing the right can't stand. There is no way you can undo those things one by one which means the only way to undo them is to end the income tax entirely.
