No it’s not!! Here, how much of the globe will it affect?The oceans take up 90% of all energy within the system. El nino just brings some of it to the surface and adds extra warming to the atmosphere. So in a way it is global warming. Remember, global warming is literally only the natural forcings + human forcing being mashed together to increase the temperature of our planet. The oceans are a very big part of this and the short term climatic patterns are enhanced.
Will it affect either pole? No
