For something like this, their third such serious world impacting diseases in 17 years? Yes. There might be a handful of nations that would stab others in the back by not sharing such life or death details, none of them are considered allies of the West.

They simply embody a system that demands authoritarianism, not only over their own citizens, but not so openly and arrogantly ALL of us. Can you imagine a time in your life when you would hear NBA players and executives grovelling and defending a communist party? Not some outsider bench player, but some of their biggest stars.

Mark my words, we are on the precipice of something even bigger than this virus, it's the eventual collusion between capitalism and liberty vs communism and state control. It simply can't be avoided.

If they had been honest, even if this virus had done damage (although much less in terms of lies), there would still be consequences, but the world could say, "well they honestly gave us a heads up". Not anymore. They've threatened America with denying you medicine and unleashing the virus even worse. Direct threats to your lives.

If they will so openly and brazenly threaten Americans, where will the rest of the world draw the line?

That's certainly an issue with this virus, and I hope doctors and examiners are being honest and scientific in their assessment as to the cause of death.

Regardless, we shouldn't be living where we have to avoid people and stay in our homes, where businesses are shut down, lives forever altered. All because of the lies of a dangerous enemy state.

It's not an argument I want because I have no love to give to the Chinese government however I will point out that the Japanese government have been heavily criticised for not being forthcoming about the Fukushima meltdown...just as an example.
