I guess if our military presence is not required, then maybe our $7 million is security assistance also is not required. Not the best way for Ecuador to express their gratitude. Also, good luck on them handling their drug trafficking issues without any assistance.

Ecuador President Rafael Correa is a piece of work.....a former personal friend of the now-deceased Chavez....so you know where his sympathies lie politically....

but you got to wonder why Correa is so nasty toward the U.S. when HALF of poor Ecuador's trade is with the U.S.....they need us a whole lot more than we need them.....maybe he's still sore about the Snowden deal......

but of course he knows Obama won't sanction him....just as Obama didn't do anything about Chavez who criticized the U.S. all the time...maybe Obama will go kiss Correa like he did Chavez....
