Door Dash Delivery Guy Drops Food On The Ground and Puts It Back In The Container

I've never had food other than a pizza delivered to me before. What doesn't sit well with me is if the delivery people now are allowed to leave the deliveries on the ground outside the front door. That is where bugs can be and where dogs can also come roaming around. All of my pizza delivery people rang the door and personally handed the pizza boxes over. If the door dash and other delivery people don't have to do that now, I'd like to know why not. They are delivering food that is about to be eaten. They are not delivering something that came from the post office.

Stop using door dash and related services. Drive your ass to the restaurant or learn to cook.

The more hands your food pass through the more likely things like this and worse are. Especially since delivery drivers are unsupervised.

I delivered pizza when I was a teenager. One time I tripped and dropped a pizza in the snow. It landed sideways and stuck in the snow like that. There was just a note on the porch that said leave the pizza and take the check.

By the time I got back to the store they already had another one in the oven..

I still wonder what that pizza looked like when they opened the box.

Forgive me if this is a dumb question, but where was the note and check that was left for you? I am asking because sometimes notices are left on my door by the mail people making me aware of things that have to be picked up at the post office. To me, those notices should be in the mailbox instead of the door where they can be blown away.

I am used to door dash deliveries. For many months, the vendor staples the bags shut. I like that system.
