Seems to be the way the Brits in Sussex handle it. Wonder what the percentage is here in the USA.

Slightly off thread but I read an article about kids from foster homes in Utah getting together for a conference to discuss the foster home system.

I was a snotty little brat as a kid and my grandmother could deal with me. So, she send me to a church-sponsored foster home that was actually a ranch

It was a life building experience and I've written a couple of stories about those times. However, in direct response to the article, I posted it to my blog @ http;//lvcabbie.blogspot.com along with my comments. In addition, I am going to post one of the short stories, A Morning at the Bonnie Dell Ranch that you all are invited to read.

As always, comments welcome.
