Donating to the Campaign of my Preferred Candidate

I realize it's late in the game, but I decided to send some money to a Senate candidate that I favor. I found one of the many emails he has sent my way and clicked on the DONATE link.

Rather than making it a simple matter, it wanted to steer me through a dozen hoops, requiring me to register with them, get a USERNAME and PASSWORD, and on and on.

I realize that they are required to get donor information for people who contribute, in the aggregate, more than $200, but I'm not going to do that. And I don't want to pledge a figurative fraternity here, just send along a couple of bucks ($50, if you must know).

I found the process so irritating that I didn't do it.

Anyone else have that experience or reaction?

I only donate to local slow-growth hopefuls.

Wait one.....I did send Rand Paul $25.00 through paypal back in the day. No hoops at all.

Not to discourage anyone from donating, BUT it does get you put on lists and as a result you will get tons of emails/text/junk mail asking for more political donations.

With all of the billions and billions of dollars these people get from the rich, I see no need to donate any money to politics anymore. I refuse to even check the box on my tax returns, which isn't even my money. And when you donate any money they just keep on coming after you because if we don't win the other side will take democracy away. So, keep on giving.
