Of course, all domains need to be addressed in language acquisition, but at this time of year when student learning goals are being set the question always arises: which domain is the (relative) priority for students at various ages, grade levels, and proficiency? It's not a simple question.

  • writing
  • speaking
  • listening
are generally taken as the primary domains, but some students need to focus on one area more than others.

Thinking about focusing most heavily on writing this year.

Some progress being made on writing. Sentence correction exercises help improve attention to detail.
