Now that the Electoral College is meeting and the foregone conclusion of Biden becoming the 46th President is official, The question turns to what type of handover will take place. The most visible thing is where the incoming and outgoing presidents ride to the Capitol together, they attend the swearing in of the new President, and the new president and his successor walk together to the awaiting limo to take the now former President to the chopper to go home.

Do you think Trump will do like previous Presidents and do the classy thing of taking part in the ceremony?

I personally don't think Trump will want any part of it and I don't think Joe would should even want him there. Personally, I don't think there should even be a ceremony this year given the pandemic but it appears there is going to be one.

Some commentators have stated that they don't think Trump and Biden ever speak again. Which is just sad and petty.

What say you?

He will be having a huge rally from about 11am to 1pm fairly close.

John Adams and his son did not attend their successors inauguration.

Can't wait for this rally.

Other - Simultaneous to Biden's inauguration Trump holds one of his own at a rally in Florida with Rudy Giuliani administering the oath.

probably not. How many 12 year olds pick the mature route after complete embarrassment?

Without a mask. Without a smile. Without pants.

It would be vindictive.

There are some sad and petty things that happen in transition and afterwards:

- Jimmy Carter being bitter to this day about losing to Reagan who has been dead almost 20 years.
- Clintons taking from the White House
- Clinton Staffers ripping off the “W’s” from keyboards.
- Clinton taking his sweet time to get into the Presidential plane so as to delay the Bush Inauguration.
- Obama supporters taunting at Bush and Cheney as they walked away after the ceremony.
- Anti Trump protestors smashing windows and torching cars during his Inauguration.

Trump has been damned for everything he has done and failed to do in the eyes of liberals and Democrats so for any of you people to call on Trump to either attend or not attend Biden Inauguration is laughable. Your opinion doesn’t matter.

At this point, I hope not. Let Trump and the Trumpanzees consign themselves the trashbin of history. Although in 24, I assume the "Republican" nominee will have to kiss Trump's GINORMOUS ass, and already Tom 'pickin' Cotton and Brave Brave Sir Lindsey are already puckering up

Out of malice and small-mindedness, let us distribute silly hats,
and preside over super-spreader jamborees of alienation
and petty defiance of the democratic will."

Cute nicknames. I guess the put-down nicknames are going to be a American staple for a hundred years; because Trump started it. Works for me.

But supporting Trump now is how Republicans run for president in 2024 --- and you forgot Ted Cruz, he's right in there cheering on the prez. A LOT of Republicans are watching to see who is on our side and who is a turncoat, and the up-and-comers know that.

Trump's fucked either way, so he might as well sleep in.

If he doesn't attend, liberal retards will call him petty and childish and yadayadayada; basically just whining.

If he does attend, liberal retards will call him a narcissist, doing everything he can to stay in the spotlight for as long as he can, yadayadayada; basically just whining.

This country needs a liberal purging. Think of it as an enema for the country...

I'd be disappointed in Trump, if he did. No true American should attend.

I forget about Cruz. I mean he's a guy who even Cornyn hoped would lose re-election. Graham has actually managed to equal or even exceed Cruz in having no personal or intellectual integrity or sincerity. Cotton's linear view of American and the world might sort of fit with Trump's. I don't rule out Dan Crenshaw either.

Those guys are why I really hope Biden tacks the dem party towards the middle for the next four years. I have no problem with voting dem again even if they don't do anything on deficits and middle class entitlements. Just get the econ going again and make sure people can access higher education and technical training and have healthcare. Stop pitting the left against the cops, who obviously need some standard guidelines. Eisenhower time again.
