Well, a little game is being played, to no surprise.

He and they want to paint all the extra shit they're pulling (from tariffs to imperialism) as being an "emergency" or a "national security issue". That's their excuse. So if they bomb Iran, it'll be a national security issue. If they add a 200% tariff to some country because they hurt Trump's feelings, it's an "economic emergency".
