Nate Silver Says Polls May Be ‘Overestimating’ Trump After ‘Huge’ Miss

Trump Blames Shutdown for Republican Losses on Election Day

I wonder if trump knows how immensely unpopular he and his policies are with the vast majority of Americans? Virtually across the entire spectrum of issues. Even immigration, one of his strengths in the last election cycle.

Are there internal conversations being held in the inner circle on course correction out of concern for the down ballot effects potentially unfolding in 2026? Doubt it. When he speaks with Tom Homan they certainly don't discuss the $50K bribe Tom took. But do they discuss doing anything about this?

We Found That More Than 170 U.S. Citizens Have Been Held by Immigration Agents. They’ve Been Kicked, Dragged and Detained for Days.

Is Don too distracted with gawdy renovations of bathrooms and tearing down historically significant buildings against the wishes of the public to notice how severely the public has soured on him and what he's doing? Does he care since he's making huge amounts of money in the crypto biz after calling it a scam? I doubt it.

Staying out of jail, growing his personal wealth, and revenge are his biggest priorities. He's been successful at all three. The fate of the nation is apparently of no genuine consequence to him. Something voters are beginning to wise up to.

I think that, like a child, he wants so badly to believe what he says that he essentially talks himself into it on the spot.

He'll say his "numbers have never been better", for example, and I think he believes it as soon as he says it. At least consciously.

Trump is a stupid, self centered person, who inherited his wealth, no chance he is going have a moment of self evaluation or conscience understanding, ain't in him. Stupid stays stupid.

The man has skills but in all the wrong areas to be a selfless leader. He's a master of the con, of manipulation, of dishonesty, he lacks personal integrity, empathy, and a sense of duty or sacrifice.

It's hard to maintain popularity with this kind of job market.

Job cuts in October hit highest level for the month in 22 years, Challenger says

So why is Dotard claiming the economy is booming?
Because it is. You site one metric, heavily influenced in one sector by a new technology beyond any president's control. From your link:

  • Companies in the technology sector announced 33,281 cuts, nearly six times the level in September.
  • “Like in 2003, a disruptive technology is changing the landscape,” said Andy Challenger, workplace expert and chief revenue officer at outplacement firm Challenger, Gray & Christmas.

The fact is that the MSM has mounted a massive "full court press" against Donald Trump since the moment he declared for the Presidency about ten years ago. Virtually every mention of him in the Press is negative. Events that have nothing to do with him are somehow connected to him or his posse, and become yet another pretext for criticism. Things that he does that are positive, beneficial, or provably correct get the same treatment. "Exhibit A" plays out before our eyes this very day. For decades Washington insiders have complained that large State events have to be conducted under tents in a lawn, with formally attired attendees having to "do their business" in Port-0-potties. Trump arranges for a massive, grand ballroom to be constructed with NO TAXPAYER MONEY AT ALL, and he is roundly criticized for it. Media sources scour the grounds for someone - anyone - who is unhappy about it (Chelsea ******* Clinton???) and they publish their complaints as though they were Front Page News.

Objective reviews of coverage invariably count negative stories outnumbering positive ones (provided you can find one) by a factor of ten to one.

The fact that he has been able to win three consecutive Presidential elections is astounding, and largely attributable to Americans either totally discounting Trump news coverage, or presuming that it is so biased as not to be taken seriously.

But the American people are not quite as stupid as Media people and Democrats think. Trump's poll numbers are always understated, either by design or incompetence. The recent elections showed exactly nothing about the American electorate. Candidates in Leftist jurisdictions won, as they were expected to do. Superior opponents lost (even in NYC), but that is common these days.

Next November will be the most important mid-terms in our lifetime. If the Democrats take Congress, expect Trump to resign even before the new crew is sworn in. He may even move off shore, possibly to his property in Scotland.

I will personally check out.

When Progs lose you guys go with all of the hater words representing all types of people on their voters. Or Deplorables and dregs. Or They should be shot and killed. Or Round them up and put them in camps. The education system in our nation must be terrible. In the 1950's the people in Cuba celebrated when they defeated the Batista government and took over. They found out shortly thereafter the celebration was not warranted. We come from a higher perch. And we have wasted so much. California is a disgrace in waste while other parts of the planet are impoverished

And obviously no one close to him is telling him the truth.

The economy is tanking.
The best thing for Dotard, though he doesn't know it, is for the SC to rule he has no authority to unilaterally impose tariffs. Cuz the emergency powers he is asserting aren't justified. That will have a positive effect on inflation and give the Fed confidence to cut rates again to slow down the current shrinking of the economy.

BTW, the Dow is down 500 points.........most likely because of the jobs number.

Trump represents the failure of both the judicial and political process.

Trump belongs in prison, not the WH.

Sorry, but if MSM is so influential how do you explain all the trumples who believe in so many demonstrable lies?
