Do you have damned-if-you-do-damned-if-you-don't people in your life?

Let me know how you deal with them. Do you choose to be damned by doing or not doing (much of the time)? LOL

But seriously, I tried walking away and even that didn't seem to work well... Oh well, Jesus said there'd be days like this.. (words to that effect anyhow)

I don't put up with 'em...My life's energy is too important to waste like that.

LOL

I hear ya. I try to stay away from people like that. But sometimes, as I'm sure you know (being human and living on Planet Earth and all) some people refuse to go away, or they go away but then come back another day... LOL

My entire life has been damned no matter what I do.

But I keep ******* trying to overcome it, anyway.

Better than the alternative?

I'm not sure because nobody has ever heard from those who took the alternative.

Wow, that's really sad... feeling damned no matter what. Actually, I feel that way myself something like 80% of the time. Who knew you and I had so much in common?

I have felt like ending it all a few times throughout my life, but refuse to let the devil win and besides, the Catholic Church (and probably other "churches") teach(es) that those who do that go straight to Hell.

No way to prove it, but I'm not taking any chances. I hope you feel the same...

I don't know if I can help much, but maybe you could PM me?

If you don't want to talk about, don't feel obligated to do that, but again... I can really relate.. probably many people can.

Any man who lives with a woman understands 'damned if you do, damned if you don't' these days.

I have overcome so many life-changing things already; the experience helps me realize I can get through new shit when it happens, as well.

Overall, my life is still a ******* shit sandwich, and I am ******* tired of shit sandwiches.

Not religious, by the way, and my life dealings are a big reason for why that is.

Thanks for the offer.

Well, my religion has been the only thing that has helped me deal with the big problems of life. I spend time in the Real Presence of Christ and He ... words fail but... I get through things far, far better with Him there, tangibly with me (in Catholic Churches [most?] open during the day and other times) than when I don't go there. If you're not sure what I'm talking about, you can 1) read past posts of mine in Religion and/or 2) Search: the Real Presence or Transubstantiation.

I feel deeply sorry for those who do not have that..

I was actually going to start a thread (instead of this one) about how hard life is.. I believe it is difficult for everyone.. just that some people do have a harder time than others. I am one of those. The devil hates people who .. resist him (his evil)

I'm good.

The threats of bringing religion into this has already made me regret saying anything. (Please don't take it personal, it's not meant that way)

I grew up in a very religious family, so I am very familiar with the scriptures.

I'll be ok.

Just a few more years on this fucktarded rock to go.

Thanks.

If I don't, does that mean I'm it?

'My life' is typically a phrase reflecting what one THINKS about one's life other than the reality of the present and, it is often negative thinking because one want's to insulate themself from negative consequences that may never occur or an over emphasis on perceived negative events.

Of course, things could always be worse and there are always things to be grateful for.

I still want do-overs and the option to trade.

Do-overs are, of course impossible, however the negative event that prompted you to want a do-over can be viewed as a lesson. To me 'trade' means one is not satisfied with one's place in life and would like to emulate someone perceived to be in a better life place, but, the truth is, one is in no better place than where they are now. Thinking is not perception of reality, it too often frames reality with unreal perceptions.

I would love to know how I can BETTER "perceive" losing a parent as a baby, or 15 years of being a caregiver for a disabled wife who will never live independently again. . . . somehow better than what I do. And that is only two examples of my "perceptions" I would gladly trade to another.

I haven't seen my older sister in 23 years now and I haven't seen my dad in almost four years. I have no complaints though because they only bring absolutely no good to my picture.

God bless you always!!!

So you have maintained your commitment to your wife in spite of all this. I think it takes a true, good man to do that. I understand your frustration better than you know. I am in a similar situation with my wife and also have a handicapped son. There's more but I don't want to get too personal. My 'perception' in my own situation is that it is what it is and I bless God for my life and the love of friends and family. Stay strong and may God bless you.

I get it.
