For me, it all depends on the magnitude of the mistake. Some things can be shrugged off and laughed about, but then are there those things that can have repercussions.

Absolutely not.
As a loong time employer/manager, one of the lessons I try to teach people is - when you are honestly trying to do a good job and you screw up - it is expected and forgivable. We all do it. I have made mistakes that have resulted in 5 figure losses. More than once. BUT I have made many more good decisions/actions that have resulted in 6 figure gains.
As long as you can say to yourself, that you are honestly trying to do a good job - then mistakes are just a part of being human.
Shrug it off and keep doing your best.
