Wow, this guy is masterful. Playing the really talented German named Zverev, who is younger (Joker is 38) and just as powerful a hitter, but Joker beats him on strategy, knows right where to place his shot when he is out of position. No question to me this guy is the GOAT. Watch this guy in action in the semifinals and most likely the finals.

What else were you expecting? Novak Djokovic is "The GOAT!" As you mentioned, he just turned 38, which is ancient playing tennis w/ the speed and stress of the game today! The last 39 y.o. to make a major SF was Jimmy Connors back in '91 at the US Open!

For Djokovic to win this French Open at 38 yrs. old, he'll need to complete the trifecta of defeating #3 Zverev (done) in the QF, #1 Sinner in the SF Friday, then #2 Alcaraz in the final Sunday! That w/b the equivalent of a player beating Federer, Nadal, then Djokovic! It just can't be done, but ya never know! Novak has gotten progressively better over the tournament after having such a a dreadful clay season, dropping 3 in a row! He'll be going for his 25th Major BTW! :p:D:cool:

Looks like the 22 year old French girl, Lois Boisson, ranked #350 in the world, is going to see her storybook run to the semifinals come to an end this morning against Coco Gauff, the world #2.

Still very impresive that she beat the worlds #3 and #6 on back to back days for the biggest victories of her young career. She has gone from an unknown, to everyone in France knowing her name, in just a few days.

Cinderella had to see the clock approaching "12" & her fairy tale journey finally came to an end! Boisson was "in the zone" upsetting #3 & #6 in the world, but finally fell out of it, crashing back to Earth! We'll see if it was a preview of things to come or just a footnote in the storybook exitence of the French Open! :D:stir::confused:

You fascists tried to ban him from the sport for refusing your magic shot.

Did you think we forgot?

He gave his all but he came well short against Sinner in the semi-final who has been playing too good tennis in this tournament. It doesn't seem likely that he will play in another French Open.

Well Novak far exceeded expectations, performing admirably being the last of the Big 4 still on tour after 20 yrs. of excellence! Making 2 major Semi's (Aussie & French) will keep him in the top 10; currently #5 in the World! Grass season is upon us so IMO, there's no reason why Djokovic shouldn't perform well, finally getting back into form during French Open! He has a Wimbledon final appearance to protect w/ 1300 pts. on the line! :D :p:cool:

He went out like a warrior, but Sinner is 15 years younger. It's hard to keep up with someone younger and more powerful.

Was watching the beginning of the women's final and Sabalenka was cruising past Gauff, and yet Gauff beat her.

If that Sinner guy is reading this, I offer my sincerest apologies. I have recently started paying attention to his career (for reasons unrelated to tennis*), and I was pleased to see that the Men's final was still going on early this afternoon.

When I tuned in Sinner had three match points in his back pocket, and then...

I watched him "bleed out" over the next hour and 45 minutes, ultimately losing in a tiebreaker to Alcaraz.

It was definitely my fault. I jinxed his ass. Taking nothing away from Alcaraz, who was playing "out his ass," but I would have preferred to see Sinner win. let's see if he learns anything from it.

Carlito Alcaraz is the heir apparent of the Big 3, Fedalovic! He's represented well w/ talent & class from what little I watch of tennis these days! I barely keep up w/ the ladies after ranking flux of the WTA since Serena Williams faded out! :p:cool::nono:

Man, did you see how Alcaraz won? Sinner was one point away from victory, he was up 5-3 in the 4th set, and it was 40-0!

All he needed was one point and victory was his but Alcaraz battled back to win the match, and then the set, and ultimately the game. The McEnroe brothers announcing were just waiting for Sinner to claim it, and he couldn't do it.

Wow, that one is gonna sting for Sinner, that's as close to winning as you can get.
