Just wondering what people's thoughts are about JFK. I believe he was greatest modern day Democratic President and was true "America First" leader. I also believe he had issues in his personal life with an uncontrollable urge to have sex with many women. Did that negate what he did for the country? I don't think so. Did that make him a bad husband? Yes.

Bay of Pigs?

It was Camelot. The Navy was ready to court martial him but Hollywood writers turned a callus negligent skipper into a hero. The media loved him so the people did too. MM's sexy happy birthday rendition was the most disrespectful thing a First Lady ever had to endure. JFK's alleged reliance on painkilling drugs by a Dr. feelgood for chronic backpain was known but ignored.

IMO he was the LAST true American democrat president. Every one since has increasingly been sliding into globalist socialism.

At least he wasn't a tampon wearing gender bending pussy.

Did that negate what he did for the country?
No, why would it? A president's personal life has little to no bearing on his professional life in office. When it comes down to brass tacks, people may elect a president based on his personal likability, but all that really matters for his time in office is what he does good for the nation. Where he chooses to unzip his pants each night after his work is done for the day is his business.

And that is not just my opinion! Years ago working with a far left democrat and discussing Bill Clinton (and his tawdry affair with Monica), she assured me that PERSONAL INTEGRITY OF A PRESIDENT /DOES NOT MATTER/.

The reason Kennedy is well regarded today is simply because he got shot.

Oswald beat out dozens of husbands.

I'm surprised Clinton is still breathing.

JFK was an irresponsible playboy with a good speech writer who cheated his way into the White House, starting with his first Congressional election. He was having an affair with a Soviet spy in Hawaii before being "transferred" to PT boats, where he got his own boat sunk. His foreign policy mistakes with Cuba turned the Castro regime into a permanent dictatorship. Despite Lyndon Johnson's "influence," he was polling so poorly in Texas that he scheduled a special campaign stop in Dallas.

The Camelot story line after his death was created by his wife and Ted Stevenson to paper over his miserable performance as a President. His "affairs" merely added to his record as national security risk.

The hard evidence is that he was Gay .

------a 2015 book by Jerry Oppenheimer claiming he was Gay .
This is according to testimony by Lawrence Quirk, who worked on Kennedy's first Congressional campaign and knew Kennedy's lover Lem Billings
