Craig Melvin, a black man will be taking over her spot on the Today Show. Was she replaced due to low ratings?
1. There is Nate Burlson, a black man on CBS doing the morning show, trained by Gayle King.
2. There is Michael Strahan, a black man on ABC doing their morning show, trained by Robin Roberts.
I'm guessing that Hoda Kotb could not hold up the ratings being in competition with those black males on ABC and CBS, so the only option was for NBC to put a black man in that time slot for the sake of ratings.
