Meanwhile in Virginia the dems in the Virginia Senate blocked a gas tax holiday. That's what lowlife dems think of the working man.

Va. Senate committee votes down Youngkin’s gas-tax holiday plan

social issues are more inside my realm of focus than fiscal, but this is big and will help DeSantis brag about his record in future presidential debates

Sounds like welfare. Shame on him.

Bragging is what a demifascist would do, De Santis is simply taking care of his people unlike Poopeypants

It's the same story here in Miss. The almost totally ended the state income tax, but still I got some relief, so I can't complain. And the American Rescue Plan funded not only by gop tax cuts, but extra money the dems sent me that I've saved!

I LOVE FISCAL CONSERVATISM

is Tate Reeves a good governor? how well is he liked in MS? i don't read much news about your state

So if a Governor sponsors a bill that reduces its taxes due to out of control inflation designed to help offset the burden experienced by the common consumer it’s irresponsible? Really?

Yeah, the Dems are working hard to make things as unaffordable as possible for the working family. So much easier for them to push through socialism that way.

Dems are nasty, devious people.
I can easily tell you failed economic 101.

That's a hard one for me. I have some ethical issues on this. And I'm really not sure what, if any, role he had in the State Supreme Court overturning a popular citizen referendum to have med marijuana on what almost all call a "technicality." It appears the legislature "overturned" the Sup Ct - despite the legislature refusing to pass a law which led to the referendum - and Reeves (or Tater as the wife and I call him) had no choice but to sign the law after getting legislative concessions, that just harass consumers, because a filibuster would have been overturned.

So, most who know him, think he's an unmitigated little, vindictive, corrupt prick. But that describes his predecessor too, who may have made off with millions in welfare and covid money. LOL

But I actually think Tater's done some good too in vetoing pork ... some of which would personally have helped me. I'd prefer him to DeSantis or that Noon person from SD.

interesting. i wish i followed each individual state's politics more...except Hawaii, they're not serious lol

I can't speak to FL's financial situation but here in Virginia we have a surplus that would have more than paid for the gas tax holiday.

Is it "welfare" to return a surplus to the tax-payer in such a way?.....Everyone that fills-up pays that tax, well to do or "poor" alike.

No the dems did it out of shear spite to fuck over Virginians for tossing 2/3rds of them out of power....Hopefully we get shed of the rest of the dem slags in 2023.
