  • Danish pension operator AkademikerPension said it is exiting U.S. Treasurys over finance concerns tied to America’s budget shortfall.
  • The move comes amid increasing tensions with the U.S. over Greenland as President Donald Trump pushes for control of the island.
  • AkademikerPension said it plans to have closed its position of around $100 million in U.S. Treasurys by the end of the month.
So, some other nation is getting a good discount on US bonds at the expense of Denmark retirees.

We spend more than that on a couple of MN day care Learing centers.

Heck, Biden earmarked 2 Billion for Stacy Abram’s charity!

100 million to the US is like me finding a dirty penny under my car's floor mat. ;)

I have noted in the past some of the countries working to dump the dollar. I never considered Denmark to be on that list. Trump truly is amazing.

Selling, not dumping.

Europe is done trying to appease him. They're learning from their own history.

It's about time.

Western Europe.

Eastern Europe is still with us, because they know the Bear and the Dragon are far far worse.

Where will Denmark invest their money in sardines. They will be back soon

The Petrodollar died years ago .
Some people still cannot see this self evident fact and wrap themselves in verbal knots .
Why would you accept paper written assurances/ promises from a Bankrupt ?

Fewer and fewer will be.

Were they selling at a loss or at market price?
Bonds were likely bought and sold over time at differing interest rates and maturities. Likely can't be easily sorted out. So they might win, lose, or break even.
