I could illustrate "science" that positively proves the existence of life after death and Bigfoot and the Loch Ness monster and outer space aliens who built the pyramids. We see it every day on the nature or science or Nat-Geo channel. It's "science" for a buck and it will convince you long enough to watch the commercials. The global warming "science" is no different except it is more insidious and it impacts your life and the cost of everything you buy. Yeah --- we've basically DEPLETED all the fossil fuels on this planet.. It's not sustainable to search for methane anymore since it's all gone.. Can't drill our way to independence and all that.... Even if you can light the entire Gulf of Mexico on fire... We'll never find enough..

Should have realized this when the Deep Water Horizon was blown out of the Gulf of Mexico by "destabilizing methane hydrates"..

The 1 degC or so we've seen in our lifetimes won't light the fuse for this giant bomb. Unless this planet is real deathtrap and we're just realizing it...
