If you follow Mark Cuban on social media, you know he's dumb, racist, and ignorant of both history and economics, making him essentially the perfect Democrat candidate to follow Kamala Harris' historic loss to President Trump.

I'm all in on Cuban for 2028!

You do know that Trump is a white billionaire.... right?

And no, Mark Cuban is not in conversation as a presidential candidate, except maybe in this thread.

Yeah, but Republicans don't constantly complain and demonize white billionaires.

Stephen A Smith

Stephen A. Smith says he has 'no choice' but to consider a run for president

Smith says people asking him to run is an indictment of the Democratic Party.

Stephen A. Smith, Host of ESPN's "First Take," hammered the Democratic Party and suggested he has "no choice" but to consider a run for president.

"I have no choice, because I've had elected officials, and I'm not going to give their names, elected officials coming up to me. I've had folks who are pundits come up to me. I've had folks that got a lot of money, billionaires and others that have talked to me about exploratory committees and things of that nature. I'm not a politician. I've never had a desire to be a politician," Smith told ABC News' "This Week" co-anchor Jonathan Karl.

Smith reiterated that because of the number of people asking him to consider a run, he has to leave the door open.

"Here's the reality: People, literally people, have walked up to me, including my own pastor, for crying out loud, who has said to me, 'You don't know what God has planned for you. At least show the respect to the people who believe in you, who respect you, who believe that you can make a difference in this country, to leave the door open for any possibilities some to three years down the line.' And that's what I've decided to do."

I don't like what I'm seeing, but I'm not surprised. I mean, this whole tariff war situation is utterly ridiculous. I mean, my attitude was, is that he should have immediately targeted China and not every nation on the planet, for crying out loud, just throwing tariffs at everybody. Ultimately, he dialed that back, as we saw over the last few days, and folks on the right are up in arms. Basically, I should say -- I mean positively, essentially saying that that was the plan all along. There doesn't appear to be a plan. Let's be, let's be very, very clear about that. It seems to be a bit very haphazard, and you know it's just thrown against the wall to see what will stick. But in the end, you know, what you have to applaud them for is for trying something.

Newsom, Harris, Pritzker, Cuban, et al... the Dems don't have much of a back-bench and nobody warmin'-up in the bullpen... :auiqs.jpg:

But that's OK... even if they DID have a Top Closer in their stable... America isn't buying what they're tryin' to sell... (see 2024)...

Who do Republicans have for 2028?

Oh yes they do. Soros is still a white billionaire last I checked and Republicans ***** about him daily.

Soros is one specific billionaire who champions left wing causes. The Democrats rail against all billionaires regularly. In fact, Zohran is on video saying there should be no billionaires at all.

They don't have much of a bench because anyone with a brain is not a Democrat.

Secure borders.

Deported Illegal Aliens.

Trans-Freaks out of women's bathrooms and sports and the military.

NATO allies paying a much higher share of their own defense costs.

Manufacturing returning to American shores.

Iran gobsmacked.

Israel upheld.

China kicked off of US farmland.

Re-expansion of oil and LNG drilling.

Reversal of unwanted forced mandates for electric vehicles in various jurisdictions.

Shrinkage of Federal bureaucracy.

Strengthened military.

Etc... etc... etc...

----------

And, to "sell" those talking points, a deep bench of Trump successors... a VERY deep bench... with JD warming-up in the bullpen...

You do know that Trump won’t be running in 2028, right?

And yes, with the current motley crew of probable dim candidates, Cuban fits in well in a class photo of misfits and losers.

Blah blah blah save your wishy-washy partisan lists for someone else. Trump has his term to marry up all that hot air to actual results - unlike you I haven't blocked out how much Trump promised and failed to deliver in his first term, haven't blocked out the clusterfuck that was his first presidency.

The problem for Republicans with MAGA is that it's mostly a personality cult around Trump. You take away that personality and it's anyone's guess what rightwing politics really looks like come 2028 and who it will coalesce around.
