It would be well deserved dive into a never ending cycle of repub chaos. Musk, the billionaire oligarch, has no idea how to negotiate. He and his co-president trump are going to show voters what dysfunction really looks like.

Musk is quickly becoming the red-headed step child to the media.

Let Musk be the Speaker indeed and the U.S will get their financial circumstances in order. Put it this way, how much worse could a shrewd business manager do that Johnson or others would do better?

If Rand Paul recommends Musk or Vivek, that's enough for me.

Talk about a stupid post. Musk does not have the time for a full time job such as Speaker. He can and will work on DOGE in his spare time. That is where he belongs in the Trump administration.

Actually, I give Musk and Trump about a year before they have a falling out, when Musk gets more attention than Trump does.

Trump and Musk are the kind of guys who need to be the bride at every wedding and the corpse at every funeral.

He doesn't need extra money, so he can make the time.

The only problem would be possible conflicts of interest.

Vivek might be the more pragmatic choice.

Trump will deport him.

Musk can't be Speaker. He is not a natural born citizen, and the Speaker is 3rd in line.

That doesn’t prevent him from being Speaker. If something were to happen to Trump and Vance with the Speaker bring unable to become President…

Then the job goes to the President Pro Tempe of the Senate.

Not how it works. Everybody in the line of succession must be able to serve as President.

Nope. The Constitutional requirement to be elible for the Office of the President applies only to the Vice President.

If you disagree, please show us in the Constitution where it says different. Barring that, if the Speaker is not eligibile it would go to the next in the line of succession.

Negotiate? What's that? That hasn't been like all trendy and in vogue and stuff for a long time. "They can come along for the ride, but they have to ride in the back of the bus" springs to mind.

Nope. Albright and Kissinger are the two most prominent examples.
