First of all - to show you how stupid gun laws are, just look at Russia.

1. They require you to get mental health checks.
2. They require you to wait as long as 5 years.
3. They ban all rifles.

The third part is the dumbest. I am ok with the first two. Specifically #1.

But #3 hahaha.

So what happened in Russia? Gun manufacturers designed excellent military grade (fully auto, high caliber) smoothbore rifles that match the law.

A rifle just means long gun in parlance. As was mentioned previously, handguns can also be rifled. They aren't called "rifles".

The only purpose to a "safe storage" law in homes without children is to ensure that a lot more women are unable to defend themselves.

And the purpose of a "safe storage" law in homes with children is to test the theory that parents who are such COMPLETE MORONS as to leave loaded guns around kids, will carefully read and comply with a new gun law.
