What would Jesus do?

What would Buddha do?

What would a Christian do?

What would a Trump do?

Three do the good thing one does the evil. No need to explain.

How in the world would you know what any of those would do in regards to taking money from hardworking American citizens to give it to people who trespassed into this country?

Did Jesus or Buddha write or preach about that issue? Did some organization representing everyone who is a Christian put out a policy statement about it?

Anyway, suppose you are correct and there is only one right and good answer to health care for illegals and all other solutions are evil: Why are Democrats insisting that they are taking the evil side by not giving tax-funded health care to illegals?

That was the Democrat's plan all along. Flood the country with illegal aliens. Then normalize them by giving them housing, welfare, green cards, jobs, drivers licenses, FREE HEALTHCARE etc. Then send them absentee ballots.

Who cares? None of them can pay for it.

The Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Act of 1996 (PRWORA) is the primary federal law restricting illegal immigrants from receiving Medicaid. This law prevents undocumented immigrants from accessing most federal public benefits, including Medicaid.
Key details of the federal law:
  • Ineligibility for federally-funded coverage: Under PRWORA, undocumented immigrants cannot enroll in federal health programs like Medicaid, the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP), or Medicare.
  • Exception for emergency care: The law does make one notable exception: emergency medical services. Under "Emergency Medicaid," hospitals can receive federal reimbursement for emergency services provided to individuals who are otherwise Medicaid-eligible (based on factors like income) but for their immigration status. This reimbursement is for emergency care only, such as labor and delivery services.
  • State-funded programs: Because states share the costs of Medicaid with the federal government, they can choose to use state-only funds to provide coverage to undocumented immigrants. Some states provide coverage for certain groups, such as children or pregnant women, using only their own funds. These state-specific programs are not part of the federal Medicaid program.
  • Recent changes: In July 2025, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) updated its guidance on PRWORA to further restrict access to federal benefits for those in the country illegally. This updated guidance reinforces the existing federal ban.
