It worked for Trump.....like a charm.
Eggs are down but the rest of the ticket is off the charts. It doesn't have to be this way.

Corporations will always charge what the market will bear.

I stay away from beef right now....because everything is overpriced.

I'll just empty out my freezer until the prices start going back down.
I might even buy a half a cow from the local butcher if things get much worse.

Yeah beef is gonzo.... Time to consider other options or do as you say...bulk buy.

I don't know why beef has gone up so much in prices. All meat has but beef has been worse.

Because they murdered thousands of them under the Biden Administration, and it takes a season or two to breed new calves and replenish the herds. Because of tariffs we aren't getting any bargains on Mexican or Canadian beef.

Hit the Kroger meat department reduced section....I stock up for the summer grilling with tenderloins and NY strips, often at 1/2 price, when I'm in SLC.

I'm sure the same applies in your town.

Actually, I keep my expenses in a Quicken program. Through June I have spent $1300 less on groceries this year compared to Jan-June last year for a family of four with nothing changed since last year.

Most all grocery stores have mark down sections for both beef & pork and non-perishables. I buy most of our meat that way. I never see chicken marked down. so I wait for good sales to fill the freezer.

I pick Kroger because theirs is the most consistently easy to locate.....Also, everything goes in there the day before the "sell by" date, so you can take note of what you may want to scoop up a few days in advance.
