I think it's really the Clinton people.

I don't think it's really about personalities so much as social change, which inevitably is less change than people fear, unless it's an event like a war or flood.

Trump was a third wave; he's espousing a 1970-80 appetite for protectionism. He doesn't have new ideas, but he's found a receptive audience.

I've always thought TR's republican revolution was less revolution than demanding the Robber Barons treat workers with the same civility that Jefferson suggested the agrarians receive.

FDR burned down the democrat party of Wilson, and Truman buried its wreck.

I don't see Bern or AOC winning a race outside their own safety nets. But even WJC was a shock to the dems when he shut down sista soulja. He actually made it ok to be a dem again. Of course those two more recent dems lost black and latino male voters.
