Serendipitously, deleting words removes retail items from the education industry’s shelf.
I wish lexicography would give up on a few of my pet peeves.
1. world leaders (it is meaningless except to journalists who are paid to say it)
2. whom (average people never say it)
3. charity (delete the word charity and add a new listing —— charity hustlers)
4. parasite (delete the word parasite and add a new listing —— parasite class)
5. democracy (delete that appalling word and it will go a long way towards deleting a malignant form of government)
6. amnesty (pardon is better)
7. abortion (delete the word abortion when it means population control)
8. science (consensus is the more accurate word)
9. propaganda (delete for newspeak and/or doublespeak)
