Yeah, I don't get this tbh. I see nothing wrong with honoring, say, the first black man in the Marines, or the first woman, etc. To me that's not "DEI", it's just history. DEI would be you have 10 men more qualified but you accept the black man because of his race.

BTW, this is the reason I prefer Juneteenth over Kwanzaa. Juneteenth honors an actual American event. Kwanzaa was invented in the 60s by a communist professor
