Are Christians not called to date this way?

If not, why not?

Part of growing up. Sure, this is sort of unique* but each person in a dating dilemma has a unique situation.

If it is a dilemma. If she has made up her mind that she is going to save herself until marriage in accordance with her understanding of God's plan, then it is not a dilemma. What she is experiencing is being pulled away from God by what we Baptists call "The World."

She should probablly confine herself to dating only young men of her own church wo are similarly minded. That will narrow her options, but having less limited dating options due being willing to put out before marriage is again part of The World, that she is giving up to follow God'd plan (as she sees it).

Right, I would think that if she has to wait for an answer, that is not her guy, move on.

His answer is not about her, it is about his religious conviction or lack thereof.

But I do feel bad for someone like her with very little to choose from.
