This is a good historical record colorized, i have never seen some of the footage before.

One part of the film was when Eisenhower was talking to those airborne forces who were about to drop into France, i have seen that clip before and wondered what must have been going through their minds, they looked relaxed but i am sure they must have been very anxious about what was to come, as it turned out some never even had chance to drop because the aircraft were hit crossing the coast.
