"Conservatives" generally lack what is called cultural competence. This is because they seem to believe that only their ideas and opinions have merit or value. Furthermore, they denigrate people who try to achieve cultural competence, hence their claim of guilt-ridden whites, and or use of the term white guilt. Le'ts examine what cultural competence is and how being culturally competent would create the unified, colorblind society that the right claims they want to have.
Cultural competence is the ability to understand, communicate with, and effectively interact with people across different cultures, enhancing personal and professional relationships in a diverse world.
The opposition to diversity and the claim that diverse nations do not work are examples of ways in which conservatives eschew cultural competence. Although America was not built and did not achieve whatever perceived past greatness due to only one race of people, we read in here and other similar places about how diversity is ruining America. I don't know where people came to the conclusion that creating a system that has had many recessions, at least 2 depressions and is now 36 trillion dollars in debt, one that has lost well over 100 trillion dollars in GDP since its founding, leads the word that is not in war in violence, has the most people in prison, pays more for health care with less positive results, and lives in a consistent paranoid state to the extent that it spends more money on its military than the other top ten military spending nations combined, proves that a monocultural nation creates the most success.
