We don't have enough immigration courts to hear all the cases, we don't have enough agents to find them all, we don't have enough agreements with other countries to take all that many of them back.

So even if you kept all future ones out (again, an impossibility) it would take you something like 25 years to deport them all.

Of course, you can't keep them all out. A wall is impractical (Very little got built despite Trump's boasts) and most undocumented immigrants got here legally and overstayed their visas.

We simply turn being here illegally into a felony. The punishment for the first offense when caught is a minimum of five years in prison not to exceed ten years. After deportation, the minimum increases if they return.

The difference between Americans killing other Americans is we can't stop (in most cases) an American from doing so. If my neighbor goes out, rapes, beats and kills a teenage girl, there was no way to prevent him from doing that, and her life is lost. But when an American gets killed by an illegal, we could have stopped that murder before it happened by throwing them out of this country before they had a chance to commit such a crime.
