Covid infection is picking up

This will help.

Is the Covid strain this year as bad as those in 2020 and 2021?

Copilot

The COVID-19 strains circulating in 2025—such as NB.1.8.1 (Nimbus) and XFG (Stratus)—are more transmissible than earlier variants but less severe overall compared to the deadly waves of 2020 and 2021 1 2

Here's a breakdown of how 2025 compares to earlier years:

Severity

  • The 2025 variants do not cause more severe illness than previous Omicron subvariants
    2
  • Hospitalization rates have dropped significantly: from 6.1 per 100,000 in December 2023 to 2 per 100,000 in December 2024 2.
  • Daily deaths in the U.S. have fallen from 5,000+ in 2021 to around 280 per dayin early 2025 3.

Transmissibility

  • Variants like Nimbus and Stratus are highly contagious and better at evading immunity, which contributes to seasonal waves 1
    • As of July 2025, COVID-19 infections are rising in 40 states, with 406,000 new daily infections estimated 1
  • Symptoms

    • Common symptoms include sore throat (often described as “razor blade throat”), fever, cough, fatigue, and gastrointestinal issues 1 2
    • These symptoms are generally milder than those seen with Delta or early Omicron waves.
  • Immunity and Vaccination

    • Widespread immunity from prior infections and vaccinationshas helped blunt the impact of new variants 2.
    • However, vaccination rates are declining, which could increase vulnerability, especially among high-risk groups 2
    • Public Health Outlook

      • COVID-19 is now considered endemic—a constant but manageable threat
        3
      • Experts emphasize the importance of vaccination, hygiene, and antiviralslike Paxlovid to reduce risk 2
    • Summary

While COVID-19 in 2025 is still a public health concern, especially for vulnerable populations, it is not as deadly or disruptive as the strains from 2020 and 2021. The virus continues to evolve, but thanks to immunity and medical advances, its impact is more manageable.
Same elaborated lying as last time and you are filled with glee.

This is not sourcing. Looks official but faked

Yes, covid could speed up those diseases. Long Covid has had bad effects, but that is very rare.
My neighbor is going downhill fast and the normal medication for Parkinson's is not working on him... he had every vaccine and booster made... could be long covid but the doctor is also concerned the vaccine may be the culprit... so be careful... I had covid and I won't lie it was bad... laid up for 14 days but I survived and I couldn't take the prescribed medication for it due to my usage of blood thinners... I won't get another vaccine ever especially since it didn't prevent me from getting covid...

Long covid is usually 25% of severe infections cases.
It depends upon the individual..

Mild infections or infections treated preventively (vax) , or immediately with antibodies or antivirals have much lower incidence of long covid.

However many issues of long covid are still not known....suggested indications of birth defects, sterility, liver, kidneys, autoimmune disorders and etc are not fully known.

Again it's an endocrine (hormone) disease and not pulmonary (respiratory).

Long term covid is a ruse to cover for “adverse shots reaction”

The deadly waves in 2020-2021 were also including the flu, car accident deaths
where the corpse tested positive for the virus, and rock climbing deaths.
This 'pandemic' proved to be very lucrative for Big Pharma,
and the healthcare industry, imagine that.

They lied for years about “from” COVID vs “with” COVID. 80-85% of all deaths were 65 and older with at least two preexisting serious to critical conditions . That’s hugely NOT most of us

15th post
Covid infections of August 5 are picking up generally across the nation.

Some states are 'hotter' than others, some are not 'hot' at all.

Do you think you will get the vax or not and why?

Some of you anti-vax hoaxed sound very silly. Go here to learn more.: #Covid_19 in Video
No reason to encourage the whackadoodles to get vaccinated. Let them rattle on with their conspiracy theories, that way there will be less of them next year. Yes, I will be getting the vaccines as they come out.

My safe space is out in life. I do listen to my doctor. I suggest you do as well.

You and Meister can take your chances.
It was all a scam, John. Government got a good look at how
everyone reacted to the mandates, took notes worked the numbers.
Yes, there was a runaway Chinese virus, whether by accident or by
design. But, it was not near as bad as our fudged numbers, and
our bogus vaccination scam.

Makes sense...
I had a compromised immune system for 2.5 years. Every scratch that normally heal in two days took two weeks, every sniffle became a two week malady, That finally ended in early 2024.

Every time I see someone in public with one of those cloth masks on, I just want to walk up to them and rip it off.

No health care professional worth their salt would say that the said cloth mask does anything to protect them, and not one of them would say that the vaccine will keep you safe from Covid either.
You mean masks they wear in the hospital? People with weak immune systems are a real thing, and you see it in Asia a lot as well. I can definitely understand those folks wearing masks. Also if the air itself has a lot of junk in it that day. We get Saharan dust and you will see a lot of older people wearing them outside during that period.
