New York, New York - President Donald Trump is desperately trying to appeal the ruling in writer E. Jean Carroll's first defamation case against him, but it looks like he will have to foot the legal bill on his own.

According to ABC News, a panel of judges on the 2nd US Circuit Court of Appeals ruled on Wednesday to deny the president's request to have his Department of Justice (DOJ) represent him in his appeal, which would have been paid for with taxpayer money.

The court is scheduled to hear oral arguments from Trump's team for the appeal on June 24.

I cannot believe trump is trying to get tax payers to pay for judgement? I will totally expect that FOX news will not put this on air or on it's web site. It would be a travesty if trump was able to use tax payers money to pay the E Jean Carroll judgement. But can anyone think that he would if he could?

The ******* temerity !!! Arrogant son of a *****!!

I am anti Trump, but the Jean Carroll case is ridiculous.
It should be illegal to not report a sexual assault and then try to sue 20 years later.

If real, then the person allowed sexual assaults for 20 years without warning others.
And no testimony after 5 years, should likely be allowed at all.
