Which is clearly disadvantageous to the Chinese people--unless you have some contrary evidence you'd like to submit.rtwngAvngr said:The low wages, devalued currency and favored nation status are obviously making up for whatever they must kick to the commie bosses.
Delusional is the notion that liberty makes totalitarianism stonger, and totalitarianism makes liberty stronger. The communist party is getting plenty from businesses participating in free-trade, but what is NOT getting stonger from free trade is the communism.rtwngAvngr said:The chinese ones are. Do you think the communist party is not getting anything from all the business in china? You're delusional.
What of it?rtwngAvngr said:The market is very much an export market for them,...
Chinese workers have the same rights we have; the Chinese government does not recognize or protect those rights, however. The news that you have not apparently received is that the Chinese government is beginning to recognize and protect those rights as their nation moves in the direction of capitalism which requires the Chinese government to recognize and protect those rights.rtwngAvngr said:...who knows what rights the workers actually have.
This move towards capitalism (and it's appurtenant recognition of human rights) is DIRECTLY caused by the influence of contact with capitalist, free-market elements--most dominantly the capitalist, free-market elements of OUR economy. You'd forcfully curtail that for unspecified reasons--I suspect your communist sympathies.
You can't make sense, even of your own assertions, and you imply I must be impaired--rtwngAvngr said:are you shootin or smokin?LOki said:You would be the totalitarian against totalitarianism, yes?rtwngAvngr said:I believe we should restrict trade with china, until they have western style civil rights and coroprate laws regarding foreign investment.

Note the exact same lack of intelligent argument, support for assertions, and logical deveopment that this post has in common with all your others.rtdrdedAvngr said:bla blah. blah blahblahblah. blah blahblahblahblah, blahblah blahblahblahblah blah blah, blahblahblah blah blah blahblahblahblah blah blahblahblah blahblahblah blah blahblahblah.
Free workers have always out-produced slaves.rtwngAvngr said:How can free workers compete with slaves?
No? So then you are advocating that U.S. companies and people should remain free to trade with China? That you are not advocating laws forbidding trade with China?rtwngAvngr said:Stopping trade with china requires no coercive force. What are talking about?
