Despite laws barring sex offenders from adopting, surrogacy laws in Pennsylvania allowed Mitchell and his husband, Logan Riley, to obtain legal parentage through a “pre-birth order”.

Advocacy groups are calling for an urgent investigation and stronger safeguards, warning this case may be part of a broader systemic failure in surrogacy oversight.

That isn't possible in a healthy society....I thought that even PA was better than that.

This is something the state could easily, and should prevent, and yet they didn’t.

And to the left-leaning here, don't even start with the deflection of:

"You can't be outraged about this specific thing because other non specific bad things may be happening".

It's hard enough being a child growing up knowing you were adopted, but to have a same sex couple being your parents is putting a lot on a child.

That might be upsetting to some, but it's reality. They say if the child is loved, who cares? How about everyone you go to school with, your peers? And then to find out your parent has a criminal record for a sex crime? Poor kid deserves better than this.

^^^ The awful thing is that the parents can have criminal records regardless of their sexual preference.

God bless you and the kids always!!!

Holly

P.S. At the end of the day though, has anyone ever been able to pick their parents?

In this case PA has a responsibility to insure the safety of the child.
