Congress' New Gun Law Expansion Wouldn't Have Prevented Uvalde Shooting

So Democrats were able to 'move the goal posts' on the back of the shooting, but in the end they have done nothing to improve the safety of the Uvalde school or any other school in America.

For all their screaming about how Republicans have done nothing, Democrats, once again, have done nothing.

The only legislation that will work would be to ban all handguns and assault weapons along with high capacity magazines

But since we can’t do that, we have to nibble at the edges and take what we can get

Every little bit helps

There some ass-hole states/cities that knee-jerked and made it harder on law-abiding and responsible gun owners.

They go on about waiting periods.....There should be a one month waiting period before legislation is even brought to the floor in every state in the land and in congress after a emotional tragedy of any kind.

Legislation/laws should not be based on feels......But we know the dems hate to waste a tragedy.....Some were running their yaps even before the bodies had been removed.

That way of thinking has made Trans people more important than infants and traditional families.

It's time that we get it through our heads that the only way we're going to solve the gun violence crisis in this country is to abandon this idea that people have rights and accept the fact that we need to know what you are doing, thinking, and feeling at all times to keep the public safe. Enough with the conspiracy theories. If you can't trust the government, who can you trust?

Just because you can’t stop all shootings doesn‘t mean you shouldn’t stop any

Glad to see you're finally coming around to the value of allowing the good guys to carry guns.

The cops at Uvalde were good guys and they had guns

Would have been more effective if the shooter didn’t have one

And their lack of action resulted in a compounding of tragedy.

The Security Guard at Topps in Buffalo had a gun and took action

Only problem was the assailant had an AR 15 and was wearing body armor

Good guy with a gun died

If the 18 year old had been banned from having a gun, he would be alive

None of the crap the left proposes would have prevented these shootings.

They are simply trying to erode the second ammendment until they can eventually repeal 2A and confiscate all guns.

The goal isn't to do anything. It's to make it look like they are doing something.

If they were serious they'd address the root cause of these shootings in the first place as opposed to the object that did them, but if they did that, the Democrats would have to admit that many of their policies are responsible for today's societal decay.

No gun law would have changed the fact someone wanted to hurt other people and was willing to do it.

Gun laws don't fix the problem and the problem is nutballs and criminals. Take away every gun and we're still left with criminals and nutballs.
