I live somewhere in rural Austria European Union
It had elements of nationalism and patriotism and militarism under the anti fascist lable

For example the slogan sloboda narodu smrt fasizmu freedom to the people death to fascism in the core are the people or nation there is a external enemy sometimes wrongly equated with the german ethnicity and extended to the german minority in Yugoslavia

Race was not really a question because it was largely a white country only there was no mass migrations brown gypsies were informally segregated like people would not really appreciate mixing with them often they were send to special schools etc

There were no lgbtq activists or aggressive feminists the old left feminism was about formal chivalry like opening the door for a woman or flowers on international womens day for females

Do you agree

I was inspired to write this because of a old yugoslav left wing song
Its about a woman getting with a german soldier during the war
Its anti fascist but there are elements of xenophobia nationalism anti germanism anti international couples and even racialised stereotypes that the german soldier is called zlatokosi in this song that means golden haired or blond man

I think most know that anyways but just saying now

The song is in Greek, could you provide a translation ...

I'd say Yugoslavia is definitely asleep ... no worries about waking up ... I don't know why you're still bellyaching about the Germans ... I'm an American and have forgotten all those ancient prejudices ... we have new and better prejudices today, that Eastern Church is sooooooooo 20th Century ...

Yes and the most successful economy and standard of living of all the Communist Countries, my Uncle went on holiday there in the 60s then in the 90s the Germans and others exploited the ethnic differences that were present, maybe they were always there but Tito kept the lid on.

This picture was taken on March 27, 1941, in Belgrade! A massive protest erupted as locals opposed the government's decision to join the Axis Powers. This was an unprecedented event in World War II ! nowhere else did civilians rise up against their country’s alignment with Nazi Germany. In most other nations, the locals couldn’t wait to bend over backwards for the German beast.
