"Hive of 'pervasive' criminality" caught my attention. "Opinion by Michael Hiltzik," also caught my eye. Hiltzik is quite the journalist. Anyone who's ever lived in teh SoCal area has read something written by him. He's often quoted by many others

"Criminal actors exploit cryptocurrencies in each scheme category" tracked by the agency's Internet Crime Complaint Center," Assistant FBI Director Michael D. Nordwall wrote in the report. Crime was "pervasive" in the field, he wrote, with the most common victims being investors; their losses accounted for nearly 71% of the total.

Crypto is just like money —- just a different sort of asset class and transaction vehicle .
All such potential assets attract crime .
100% of them 100% of the time .

Your OP is inane

Uh oh!

Through this venture, Trump is setting himself up as an adversary of a banking and financial system that he would oversee as president, and as an advocate of an alternative financial system that has been the target of investigations and regulatory concerns raised by the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Department of the Treasury and other federal financial regulators.

Let's not forget that Trump formerly condemned cryptocurrencies as a "scam" and "potentially a disaster waiting to happen." By July, he had changed his tune. "Bitcoin is not just a marvel of technology," he said in a keynote speech delivered at a major bitcoin conference. "It's a miracle of cooperation and human achievement and a lot of relationships that are formed."

Trump plainly smells money in this newfangled scheme. According to the white paper viewed by Coinbase, 70% of the crypto tokens to be marketed by World Liberty Financial — those carrying governance control over the project — will be reserved for founders and insiders such as himself. That's an exceptionally high number, judging from other crypto ventures.

So what is World Liberty Financial but another Trump-branded get-rich-quick opportunity for himself? We all know how those others turned out. Why would this one end up any better?

Did you know, your politicians have exploited the American public to the tune of $35+ trillion, and your anal tampon is falling over over folk investing in Crypto Currency 🤔

I think the FBI should be investigating the government's finances wondering why the Democrats always come out rich at the expense of the taxpayer.

The criminality of it dropped rapidly when ActBlue donor and second largest harris/xiden donor was arrested for fraud

All government and financial institutions are hives of pervasive criminality because of the low quality of people involved.

Listen, save yourself some trouble and just start giving free lessons at a gun range to the democrat base.

Just improve the aim of your supporters is all you really have to do instead of all these insane conspiracy posts of yours.

I guess any mention of the Trump Family and "Hive of 'pervasive' criminality," hits a raw nerve.

"Hive of 'pervasive' criminality" and Family Trump and NY verdicts on the criminality of Trump's businesses.

There is so much sleaziness surrounding the Trump's that things like this that would sink your average politician get buried in the shit the Trump's throw against all four walls, the ceiling, and the floor.

If this is "news" to you, you're going to be shocked by how much "criminality" there is in the stock markets, real estate, banking, and commodities. :auiqs.jpg:

With you people and Trump it's always some juvenile defense "But Ma, little Debbie did it too! Please don't tell dad."

From ABC:
Trump's new crypto venture is light on details, heavy on potential ethics landmines
The former president has thrown his support behind World Liberty Financial.

After once deriding cryptocurrency as a "scam," former President Donald Trump on Monday formally threw his support behind World Liberty Financial, a crypto venture whose business model remains largely unclear but has already drawn scrutiny as a potential ethics headache for his administration if he returns to the White House in January.
From Newsweek:

Trump-Linked Crypto Venture Uses Web Privacy Service Linked to Russian Hackers

The website of a cryptocurrency venture promoted by Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump uses an anonymous privacy service that has been previously linked to Russian cybercriminals, Newsweek has found.

A couple of comments about all of this:

1) Why is Trump dedicating time with a new Crypto currency linked to a company that is called a "fakakta" idea? With the word Fakakta meaning: dirty, screwed up and full of crap.

2) Why is Trump doing this just 48 days from the election? Should he not be keying on the issues that affect Americans so that he can win the election? Why is he thinking of his own pocketbook at this time?

3) Why is Trump getting involved with a company that has Russian Hackers behind it?

My next question is: "Is this one more failed business idea, added to all the other ones that he started that failed?" I mean, everything he has gotten into (outside of Real Estate) has failed.

Personally and like I have stated from day one, Trump does not care about anything or anyone but his own ego and pocketbook.

Sam Bankman Fried defrauded mom and pop investors out of 8 billion dollars in a crypto scam. He could have gotten fifty years but the Feds gave him a break at 25. Now they whine about criminality in the Crypto world when Trump gets involved. No surprise here.
