I picked-up a Colt M1911 .22 Conversion Unit Tuesday and was looking for a host for it to make a dedicated .22 M1911.
I called the shop where I got it and he said he had a couple more Colt slides for me and he said he had a Charles Daly .45 that was cheap and lightly used.
I went down and bought the two slides for $100 each. A 9mm Combat Commander and a Series 70 .45 Gold Cup National Match. Neither looked hardly used.
The Conversion Unit went right on the CD and it worked fine. I gave him $300 for that. It came with three .45 mags and two sets of stocks.
The CD with .22 Unit works/shoots great....I put the two slides up for sale on eBay.
