Chris Paul is released from the Suns, Harden rumored to be headed to the Suns. NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

To pay these men the massive amount of obscene money is sickening. Enlarge the dimensions of the court and raise the basket.
Would you prefer the owners get it all? Because of their union the workers actually get their fair share.

Please say it isn't so! The last thing the Suns need is on again, off again, mopey James Harden. No no no!

It depends on the team, coach, etc. Clearly the Suns feel like Harden will fit in. I'd rather him than Chris Paul.

Harden will be playing with Durant and Booker? Damn that sounds like a good team. But remember Harden, Durant and Westbrook were all on OKC together and that didn't work out.

Philly NEEDED him to be great. The Suns just need him to be a good 3rd option.

Harden is cursed, like Westbrook. They both put up big numbers but don’t appear to make people around them better or lead a team mentally. Much like Carmelo Anthony and Allen Iverson.. great players, but won’t be a part of a champion.

Did Allen Iverson or Carmelo ever get to play with 1 or 2 other really good players? Remember Carmelo won a National Championship. And Allen Iverson led his team to the finals where they lost to the Shaq/Kobe Lakers.

I wish teams didn't break up. Then we would have seen Harden, Westbrook and Durant would have won several championships for OKC.

76ers 2001 Finals run chronicled in new NBA TV documentary 'Everything but the Chip'

Allen Iverson, Larry Brown, Pat Croce and others revisit the exhilarating, storybook season that came up short

The last time the Sixers made serious noise in the postseason was the team's seemingly invincible 2001 run to the NBA Finals, propelled by MVP Allen Iverson and a confident cast of role players who gelled around him. The Sixers survived two seven-game playoff series to emerge from the East, only to be painfully overmatched by the Lakers at the peak of their powers, with Shaquille O'Neil and Kobe Bryant surrounded by ridiculous shooting from Robert Horry, Rick Fox and Derek Fisher.

We all know the basic story of how that 2001 season culiminated. Philly stole Game 1 of Finals on the road, punctuated by Iverson's iconic stepover of Tyronn Lue, and then proceeded to back their way into a gentleman's sweep as the Lakers rolled them despite a few hard-fought contests. In Philadelphia sports lore, that season is arguably the closest thing to a championship without being a championship

The team went all in with the major trade that swapped Theo Ratliff for Dikembe Mutombo.

He is a perennial underperformer in the playoffs and he's not a team player. His defense sucks. There is no doubting his elite talent, but he just doesn't have "it". Harden will be poison to the Suns. I love Chris Paul but he's just had too many years and injuries on that body. He just can't do it anymore over the length of a season and playoffs.

Did Allen Iverson or Carmelo ever get to play with 1 or 2 other really good players?
They played with each other in Denver
Remember Carmelo won a National Championship.
That’s college
And Allen Iverson led his team to the finals where they lost to the Shaq/Kobe Lakers.
And lost convincingly.. it was definitely an impressive feat to get there, but Iverson was poison in the locker room, along with being too ball dominant, thus easy to contain

There’s only one basketball, Harden and Westbrook were black holes when they were in their prime.. give ‘em the ball, you’re not
Getting it back

I really,REALLY hope the Suns pass on Harden. They need a young, fast PG who can push the pace and pass, but more importantly a good team guy.

Booker and Durant are more than enough as far as guys who are primary scorers…

Getting it back
I remember Detroit, after winning a ring in 2004, got Allen Iverson. I remember feeling the same way about him you feel now. So I can't disagree.

But I did hope that maybe adding him to our already good team would be all that we needed to put us over the top. Much like the teams that will take him or Westbrook.

Westbrook is great if he's the Michael Jordan of the team. But if it's a true team, he won't fit in. Let's see if he fits in next year with Paul and Leonard. That should be a good team.

And Harden SHOULD be all that the Suns need to win it all. But it won't happen. For whatever reason adding a great scorer like Harden won't be the winning formula.

Maybe Chris Paul should go to Philly and play with Embiid. They'll need more than just him but maybe he will play the pick and roll with Embiid better than Harden did.

I am so glad Jokic won a championship this year. The year Embiid cried long and loud enough they gave him the MVP. Congrats on that individual accomplishment Embiid. Now let's see you win a chip like Jokic and Giannis. Same with Jayson Tatum. I don't think he will ever win a ring either. Maybe if Embiid went to Boston. Now that might work. Or Embiid go to Milwaukee.

Booker and Durant cancel out Jokic and Murray. Now who do they have that will stop

Aaron Gordon (no one)
Michael Porter Jr
Christian Braun
Kentavious Caldwell Pope (2nd RING)
Bruce Brown Jr
Jeff Green
Reggie Jackson

Dude, Reggie Jackson was a starter in Detroit and he's number 9 on the Nuggets. That's deep.

You have to have 3 studs. Aaron Gordon is Denver's secret weapon. No one can match up to him.

Porter and Braun will be better than they were this year, next year. Scary team.

Milwaukee IF Giannis and Kris Middleton are 100%, maybe can beat the Nuggets.

Ball hogs who don't play D put up gaudy numbers that always impress the casual fan, but you know that isn't the formula for winning.

It is often a zero sum gain with players like these. They add big numbers, but that is always at the expense of others.

Proof what you say is true. When Jokic scored over 40 the Nuggets lost.

Will Harden want to be a third option, it seems he likes being the first option.

Detroit? You could start in Detroit.

Probably not. But doesn't he want a ring?

He left OKC when he was a 6th man. Wanted to go run his own team. Too bad. That team was amazing with Durant and Westbrook running the starting 5 and Harden coming in to give them rest.

I would still consider him the 3rd man even if he was actually 6th man of the year. He could be the 3rd best player on the team and run the 2nd string. You know what I mean?
