I do not know where the myth began, but President Trump is very much dead set AGAINST the Chinese owning ANY land in this country, among many other things and his people are taking a very close look right now about what they can do about it, but it is a trend promulgated by the Democrats that he very much wants to go away.

I think you'll find that Trump is really not at all fond of anything Chinese right now, much less their buying up our farmland, produce, and planting themselves all through and around our universities.

And I want NO mainland chinese students in US universities

That would be wise. Very wise. The chinese are smiling and saying thank you shaking your hand with the one arm while holding a knife behind their backs with the other looking for the moment to strike.

Who doesn't disagree with Trump's current position on Chinese ownership of farmland? That's a pretty big flip flop. It tells me he is losing the trade war with China. But he will never tell you that. Seemed pretty obvious during his visit.

I can think of several posting on this forum who are insufferably pro chicom

And many influential persons across the country in business, education and government who have been compromised, aka corrupted, by chinese money and influence

Hopefully trump has not become one of them snd eill come to his senses soon

People forget that as president, there are those things a person says out of political interests vs. what they actually feel, think and intend.

The thing Trump said about kicking Chinese out of colleges was just a practical consideration of the likely actual consequences on the US education system rather than any endorsement for what Trump personally feels or wants.

His argument seems to be that some of the fat ass lib educators will will lose their cushy gig if they dont have billions in chinese money flowing into the university

He’s probably right, and so much the better for it
