He views this basically as I do. Trump wisely signed the E.O on pharmaceutical prices to draw attention away from the China stand down.

Ultimately, barring a miracle in negotiations, Trumps China plan may go down in history as inconsequential and some future president, from one side or the other will have to find the courage to confront the nation that will one day rule the world if not stopped. I suspect China to drag their feet until the midterms while working behind the scenes to hurt Trumps campaign.

Trump and his team MUST not allow China to pull a fast one. By any means necessary, this is the most important promise to keep. The communists either change or they must be denied fair access. The imbalance in trade and access is disgusting. A person cant use the internet in China, can't buy a home, can't sleep in certain hotels. China is clearly NOT an ally.

The people need the will also. The easy part was living for the first coupled decades and longer on cheaper products. Like the old Fram oil filter commercial. Either pay me now...or pay me later.

Nothing Chang said matches what Trump just said... so I don't know what he is talking about...
Everyone thinks he is a negotiating expert... just shut up everyone and let Trump do this....

We will have to see how this plays out. China may have also agreed to increase US (agricultural) imports during this period while allowing Xi to save face. At the end of 90 days, this may become an ongoing/conditional agreement. Trying to force regime change in China won't work any better than trying it in Russia. A 30% tariff on China isn't a bad deal.

Any agreement with China will just be ignored anyways and/or they will find new ways to poison Americans or destroy your manufacturing base.

I am not defending China, but how will a 30% tariff be ignored? What do you want to do? Nuke them?

The EO on pharmaceuticals will be overturned by the courts, since it exceeds Trump's authority, and can only be changed by legislation.

Joe Biden passed the Inflation Reduction Act, which gives the government the right to negotiate drug prices with the Pharmaceutical companies, but Trump repealed that Act with another worthless EO as well.

Trump doesn't want to negotiate, or legislate. Trump just wants to issue executive orders like a dictator.

Let's back up and take the 10,000 foot view. For the first time in DECADES we actually have a President who doesn't just roll over and accept the "death by a thousand cuts" tariff policies. The attitude that "hey everyone was happy when we were the world's patsy" is just ridiculous and Trump was saying that long before he was President 45. How about wait to see how the new tariff policies work out in the next few months.

We will see how it works out but I don;t think the small tariff China will gladly pay will put any pressure on them. Risking removing abusive companies from stock exchanges, demanding a floating yuan etc. THESE will make an impact. As would tariffs 80% or higher.

In essence, just as Canada does as it is economically and socially collapsing; China will just run out the clock, drag their feet, give some small victories for Trump to promote while never honoring or even caring.

The CCP can't be trusted. The citizens were ready for democracy if America in particular would just force capitalism and freedom as part of any legitimate trade interactions. They should pressure Canada and the EU also. There is a reason media asked about human right requirements as they DON'T want America to demand human rights as their bosses want to violate them.

In the long run, human rights and civil liberties is Americas best Goodwill value and them ignoring it is going to cost their economy.

Except there was no "death by a thousand cuts" tariff policy. You have functioning trade deals with every nation in the world you do business with, and the USA founded, set up and controls the World Trade Organization, if you have a dispute with any trading nation.

The USA is not and has never been the "world's patsy", and only an economic moron would ever believe that the world's richest nation, got to be the world's richest nation, because you were being "everyone's patsy". In fact, the opposite was true.

American corporations scoured the world for prime companies to buy up and dismantle for their own profit, and the IMF and World Bank imposed restrictions on new nations to sell to the American companies.

But somehow you're the ones who got screwed over. Only the Trump Cult believes that.

Trump can explore lots of avenues with tariffs. Of course China can't be trusted, certainly as long as Xinping is in power. But doing nothing on the grossly unfair tariffs other countries are levying on us was as I've said before "death by a thousand cuts".

Trump is not known for allowing other countries to pull a 'fast one' on us.

Thanks again for your always thoughtless speculation and delusions couched (falsely) as facts.

Get a life, Lizard.

Name me ONE of these Judicial Challenges I've been wrong on.

Try learned something about the topic before proving you haven't a clue.

“Try learned?”

Name anything you’re ever been proved right on.

Maybe you’d benefit simply by going silent. You’re really just a unpersuasive hack, anyway. So, no loss.

Really? Canada has been stealing from you for decades. Look at the number of riff-raff who joined the site just because of my presence and Whistleblowing.

Trust me, you are being fleeced by everyone, it is all a matter of degrees. The worst part of this is that these nations operate on optics and PR campaigns while America truly defends liberty.

One reality though that makes Trump unique is that he calls it out in the open unlike his predecessors, friend or for, many who are bought by foreign donors I'm sure. His weakness though is being flattered by these foreign governments. They try to buy poor decisions through flattery and making him feel special.

There is always going to be a risk when you have Senators who are in the same role for 40+ years. That is probably the greatest danger to your Republic.
